Aetas Tribe

We spent an afternoon with the Aeta Magbukún tribe of Bataan in Luzon - one of the least known and documented indigenous tribes of the Philippines.

The Aetas are one of the first and original races (from Africa) of the Philippines that live in scattered, isolated mountainous regions. Historians and anthropologists debate when and how they migrated to the Philippines. It is believed they crossed from the island of Borneo some 25,000 -30,000 years ago using a land bridge that was partially covered by water around 5,000 years ago.

It was a really good time with a lot of fun and games. They sung beautiful local songs for us and we brought donations as well as "InstaSnow" for their first snow experience.
