Adopt-a-tree programme

While visiting Baguio City in the Philippines, I took part in Azalea Residences' "Adopt a Tree" programme to encourage visitors and residents to plant more pine trees.

I planted two saplings (young pine trees) that day and learned all about the project. Digging is great fun and gardening has always been a favourite of mine. As a little girl I would dig often and collect worms - claiming to have "snakes in my bucket".

Baguio is making every effort to create environmental awareness by replanting and nurturing pine trees. These efforts will help secure the future of thousands of pine trees with long-term benefits for the residents of Baguio City, their children and generations to come.
