During a trip to Bani in the Philippines, Mayor Marcello and his family brought me to a centre where they care for children and people with disabilities. Many there were deaf, blind, mute, with cerebral palsy and so on. It was a lovely gathering of so many happy faces. There was light entertainment, speeches, tasty food and we finished the morning with a surprise bucket of Insta-snow! It was the first time for the children to touch snow and Aida, a blind lady, was the first to try it.
There are plans for the centre to grow with further learning facilities and livelihood activities.
